This is a list of selected Algol 68 Genie source code archives, that are available for download from this site. You can download the documentation for the current Algol 68 Genie version here. All patch levels for recent major.minor number combinations are listed. Archives of the current major number that are actual in distribution repositories are also listed.
Development of Algol 68 Genie started around 1990. Alpha and beta releases were posted from 2001-2002. Version 1 revisions were released from 2002-2009, version 2 revisions were released from 2010-2018, and version 3 revisions from 2022 onward.
Other archives for older versions can for example be found on github or SourceForge. Note that obsolete version 1 and 2 releases may no longer configure, compile or run straightforwardly on modern systems. This post describes a route to run vintage releases in this repository.
Time stamps in below list are based on the youngest file in the respective archive. This may therefore not be the date on which the archive was actually posted.
